Mrs. Penny Goebel graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1983 with degrees in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Mrs. Goebel has received additional training in Love and Logic, Top 20 Teachers, Daily 5, and the 6 Traits of Writing. She has also been a longtime member of the South Central Reading Council. Mrs. Goebel has experience teaching both Kindergarten and 2nd grade. She is pleased to have been teaching at St. Mary's Grade school for 29 years.

Welcome!
Welcome to Second Grade! This is an exciting year for my students. We will be busy preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. We will learn cursive writing, spend time at the Science Lab, read exciting stories, and work out of our Math books! Learning about saints, our world, artists, and creating fun art projects will also be part of our year. You are always welcome to stop by and visit our classroom.
