Aflame with the Love of Jesus, We Reach Out is this year's stewardship theme . We approach our annual stewardship renewal of the ways we will offer our Time, Talent and Treasure in the coming year in response to Jesus' love for us. A heart that yearns to give back to God in gratitude the gift of the best we can give because God has given us the greatest gift we could ever desire: Jesus.
How do you decide what is the best gift you can return to the Lord for his abundant blessings? The scriptures and the church continually tell us that the greatest gift we can offer back to God is the gift of ourselves, the gift of your deepest self.
God has given us personal and spiritual gifts to use and share in our life here on earth. What are some of the gifts God has given you? And once you've answered that question, how might your gift match a need or service that St. Mary's or the broader community would benefit from your sharing?
During this Fall Season of the harvest it is a good time to review your many personal and spiritual gifts and commit yourself to sharing these God-given blessings with your family; your parish; your community. Prepare yourself for our mid-October Time, Talent, and Treasure Survey.

Our Standard is the Tithe
Though everyone's contribution will be different, the Church honors the tithe (10%) as a scriptural benchmark. Here at Spirit St. Mary's Parish Family, we are asking each parishioner to give 5% to our parish, 1% to the diocese, and 4% to other charities. It often takes serous re-prioritizing to give to God before spending on self. But over time, with careful budgeting, most families can reach the scriptural tithe.
